FAQs:

What is flower preservation?

Flower preservation is a process of preserving flowers so that they retain their natural appearance, texture, and color for an extended period of time.

How is flower preservation done?

We preserve our flowers in a silica gel for our 3D resin keepsakes and paper pressed for our floating frames. Both methods help retain the natural color and shape of our clients bouquets. Our flower drying process can take anywhere from 4-7 weeks.

Is there a minimum order for your bouquet preservation service?

Yes, all orders must hit the minimum order value of $350 for this custom service. This can be any mix and match of our pieces above!

How to I book and begin this process?

You can book your reservation with us by clicking on the “book now” button above. This will prompt you to a page where you can select your keepsake pieces, reserve your date, and pay a non-refundable $50 deposit that will secure your reservation. Your $50 deposit will be credited back towards the total cost of your final order.

Do I accept last minute preservation bookings?

Currently - I do! & I do not charge any of my brides a late booking fee. If your wedding date just pasted (1-5 days ago) you can still book your preservation date with me through our book now listing. However, if your wedding date has pasted a few weeks ago please send me a message either through our inquiry form or Instagram DM with a picture of your bouquet and I can let you know if I am still able to preserve them for you!

When do I pay for the remaining balance for my keepsake?

Once your bouquet has safely arrived to Happihome you will receive an itemized invoice via email at the end of the week. This is where you will be able to review your invoice and add/change any items. If no changes need to be made then payment can be made for the remaining balance of your invoice prior to the production of your custom order.

Are there any additional charges I should expect on my invoice?

Every order is charged a base sales tax of 7.75% that is paid and reported back to the California Sales and Use Tax (CDTFA).

How do I ship my ship my bouquet?

Once a deposit and reservation date is secured you will receive a email on shipping instructions that include tips on how to best ship your fresh florals to us! If your reservation is for 2025 you will receive ship instructions in 2025. All fresh bouquets must be shipped overnight and arrive to Happihome within 3 days after your event. Shipper is responsible for all shipping fees associated. We will send a check in email a few days prior to your event as a reminder to ship your fresh florals to us and if there are any questions!

Can I drop off my bouquet if I’m local to your area?

Yes! Currently our studio is in Orange County and we do accommodate bouquet drop offs. Please select this option when completing your booking.

Do all flowers preserve well?

All florals preserve differently depending on their freshness and the flower species. Some flowers will preserve darker or even lose some of their color. (ex: red roses dry into a darker red/purply tones, dark pink into violet tones, and white florals into yellow/beige/cream tones) When creating each keepsake it is our top priority to arrange a layout that best showcases your flowers.

What is color correction?

Color correction is recommended when florals do not retain their natural colors well after the drying process. Happihome specializes in preserving the genuine pigments of naturally preserved flowers. However, in special cases, I do utilize color correction to spot correct florals that need it!

Are we only able to create keepsakes with fresh bouquets?

We prefer preserving keepsakes with fresh bouquets because they tend to create the best results! However, if you have a dried bouquet you would like us to preserve into one of our keepsake pieces please feel free to email me a photo so we can determine if it would be possible!

What is the lead time?

From the day your bouquet arrives to our HQ it can take anywhere from 20-32 weeks to complete your custom keepsakes.

Can I make changes to my order?

Final changes or updates to your order can be made and communicated via email once Happihome sends over itemized invoices. Invoices are typically sent via email on the Friday of the same week when your bouquet is received by Happihome. However, if a pressed frame was initially ordered and you’d like to make a change to a larger resin keepsake (or vice versa) this may not be possible if notified at the invoicing stage. These pieces require two different preservation techniques and we will need to know this change upon receiving your bouquet.

What is the creative process like?

Two proofs will be sent via email to ensure customers have a say in the way they envision their bouquet to be preserved. Please respond with 48 hours from when the proof was sent. If there is no response then the production of your keepsakes will be placed on hold until we hear from you. No proofs are provided for “add on” items since these pieces are smaller and our team will pick the perfect pieces from your bouquet to create these smaller items

Do I have to pay shipping for my order?

All customers are responsible for paying shipping fees to ship their fresh bouquet to us and an additional fee will be added to the final invoice for finished keepsake pieces to ship back to customer.

Can I pick up my order when its ready instead of paying for shipping?

Yes! We also accommodate pick ups when your order is finished. Please select this option when completing your booking.

How to keep my keepsake in the best condition?

Due to the chemical nature of the material, resin blocks and trays do have a possibility of ambering over time along with the possibility of florals changing colors as well. White/cream florals along with light pigments do have the chance of darkening in color more than any other flower pigment. The best way to avoid this is keeping your keepsake away from direct sunlight and heat. All keepsakes should be kept away from direct sunlight and moisture, and they should not be exposed to high humidity or extreme temperatures. Do not place your resin blocks or trays near a fireplace or covered in a garage where temperatures are not controlled. Resin blocks are best kept uncovered indoors in temperatures below 78F to reduce the likelihood of ambering. They can be lightly dusted or cleaned with a soft brush or cloth if necessary.

What is flower bruising?

Flower bruising is the transparent spotting on flower petals that is most recognizable in resin blocks and trays. White florals show bruising more easily than any other color pigment. Bruising occurs when petals have been damaged or crushed and only become fully visible once preserved in resin.

What if I do not pay my invoice, in full, prior to production of my keepsakes?

Your invoice must be paid in full prior to the start of the production of your custom keepsakes. There will be several invoice reminders sent via email but if there is no response and your invoice still remains unpaid then no additional work will be done for your bouquet. Upon the 30 day mark, we will send a final reminder for payment and if there is no response Happihome has the right to refuse services. Any preservation work that has been performed on the bouquet is now the property of Happihome and it will be under our discretion if florals will be returned to the original owner.

Do I accept returns?

Unfortunately, I do not accept any returns as these are all custom pieces made just for you! However, it is my top priority to make sure all clients are satisfied with their keepsakes and I am more than happy to talk to you about any questions or concerns you may have.

If you have any questions please feel free to email us at helphappihome@gmail.com

Thank you!
